Antonio Masotti was born in 1985. After his studies at Monopoli's conservatorium of music, he went on to study privately with Manuela Custer and Massimiliano Gagliardo. In 2007 he participated in the festival Ritratti and took part in the Piazzolla opera Maria de Buenos Aires. In 2010 he was the bass soloist of the production Anima Mea (Bach’s Magnificat and Cafaro’s Cantatas). He has an intense concert activity with ArsCantica Choir directed by Marco Berrini. In this context he sings also as soloist and in quintet performing serverals masterpieces from the Renaissance to Romantic period: Madrigals of Vinci, Banchieri, Monteverdi, Missa La Stella of Scarlatti, Mozart’s Requiem, Petite Mass of Rossini, Listz’s Via Crucis, Missa in Solof Schubert, Coronation Mass of Mozart (the latter under the direction of Aldo Ceccato). With Arscantica he recorded for Naxos as chorister and soloist in Mozart’s Requiem and in chamber music pieces of Rossini. In 2011 he was one of the founding members of Abchordis Ensemble with which he took part in many famous Baroque music festivals (Pavia, Ambronay, Marsiglia, Sion, Malta, Urbino).
He took part in Abchordis Ensemble's Sacre Stravaganze recording project for Deutch Harmonia Mundi. Since 2011 he collaborates with Ghislieri musica under the direction of Giulio Prandi as soloist and chorister, also performing in many important European music festivals.
